Troubleshooting B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch Not Releasing
Question:
My 5th wheel hitch still wont release

The B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3500 has a binding issue with your king pin. The cam action latching handle sounds like it isn't functioning correctly. If the head has been damaged, I recommend replacing it. If it isn't damaged and yet isn't functioning correctly, I recommend contacting the manufacturer about coverage under the limited lifetime warranty.
If you need to replace the head unit, the Replacement Head Assembly for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 25,000 lbs # BWRVC3006 is what you want.
