I have a solution for you to easily place and remove the B & W Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3500 from the bed of your pickup. The Buffalo Tools Electric Hoist # BTEHOISTUL will attach to a crossmember in your barn or garage to help lift the hitch in and out of the truck. The hoist winch includes mounting brackets to attach to the crossmember. A 4-point harness will be needed for the hitch in order to be secure while being lifted.

When used as a single cable system, the winch has a capacity of 220 pounds lift at 33 feet per minute. With a double cable set-up using the included pulley block, the winch has a capacity of 440 pounds lift at 16-1/2 feet per minute. The Companion weighs just slightly over 200 pounds so the winch offers plenty of lift capacity for the hitch.

One of my coworker's family members uses the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch w/ Remote and Pulley Block, AC Powered - 1,200 lbs # DL25727 to put his fifth wheel hitch, generator, and other heavy objects into the bed of his truck, and the hoist works great for him.
