Do Jaws of B&W Fifth Wheel Hitches Need to be Greased
Question:
Should I put grease on the jaws of the hitch?

I took a look at the installation instructions for the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # BWRVK3500-5W.
Per the instructions in the Helpful Tips section, they do list the areas of the hitch that need to be lubricated to assure good performance. I have attached a copy of the Helpful Tips section you can check out. You will need to grease the jaws with an automotive grease.
Per the instructions the top surface of the coupler and the jaws should be lubricated with automotive type chassis grease. You can use a grease like part # L11354 for the jaw area, or you can use a lube plate. Just measure the king pin on your trailer to find the lube plate that will work best for you. If you need a 12 inch lube plate use part # RP83001.
Multi-purpose grease like part # L11315 should be used approximately every 6 months for the saddle using the grease zerk. If you do not have a grease gun to use on the fitting I recommend part # L30416 to be able to get to those hard to reach areas.
