Best Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2019 Ram 2500 with OEM Rail Kit

I am looking to purchase a 5th wheel slider for my 2019 Ram 2500. I need to know what would be the correct size to purchase. Is a unit rated for 16,000 lbs. adequate or should it be higher? choosing the correct 5th wheel hitch for a unit with a GVWR of 14177 lbs.

Since the GVWR of your camper is 14,117 lbs a 16k fifth wheel hitch would easily be adequate for your 2019 Ram 2500 short bed with the OEM rail kit. More capacity than that may not be needed but certainly wouldn't hurt anything though.
For a slider hitch recommendation I would recommend the B and W Companion 20k Slider part # BWRVK3670 which fits directly to the OEM rail kit of your truck and gives you what most RVers refer to as the best fifth wheel towing hitch. It's very well-made here in the USA, is easy to use, is quiet, and breaks down easier than other hitches to make install and removal a bit easier.
