The Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitches - 20,000 lbs # 16310 is the system I believe you have. It will have some movement as you stated but you won't have any issue with it failing if you are within the 20,000 lb maximum towing weight capacity and 4,000 lb maximum tongue weight capacity.

There really isn't anything that is recommended to pair these any better. My recommendation for the best fit is the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3500-5W which is designed to be a perfect fit with your underbed gooseneck hitch. If you have a short bed, then use # BWRVK3400-5W instead. These will have a much tighter fit to the bed of your truck when installed.
