Replacement Hatch Strut for Stabilus STX29-100 on 2012 Crownline 285 SS Bow Rider Boat
Question:
Will this product replace the gas shock on the back hatch of a 2012 Crownline 285 SS Original Part: Stabilus STX29-100?

From what I've been able to determine, the existing struts you have are 36 inches long and provide 100 lbs of compression force and have a 3/8 inch ball socket on each end. The # 3691871-80 are also 36 inches long when fully extended but have a 80 lb compression force, so you'd want to use # 3691871-100 which has a matching 100 lbs of compression force. This strut is compatible with a 13mm ball socket which is larger than what your original struts used so you'd need to replace the ball studs with 13 mm ones like # 3691890. Y
