How To Install a 7-Way and Brake Controller On a 2020 Toyota Highlander
Question:
Hi - what is the correct wiring harness to install on a 2020 Toyota Highlander Limited? What do you recommend for a compatible trailer brake controller? Is there anything special as far a diode wiring harness extra bit like what is required for a 2019 Highlander Hybrid Limited? Thanks!

In order to install a 7-way trailer connector on a 2020 Toyota Highlander you'll first need to start with a 4-way, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # TK74FR is plug-in-play. Then, you can adapt it to a 7-way with the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit part # ETBC7L which is designed to be used with the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180. This would make for an almost entirely plug-in-play install with no splicing.
The above option would not require any additional or special harnesses.
