Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2011 BMW X3 28I
Question:
I am looking for a trailer wiring harness for a 2011 BMW X3 28I. I am not sure whether 119250KIT or 119250KIT is much better or you have other special one ? I will rent RV, not sure 4 way or 7 way wiring now. What adaptor I need? Could you also give a video especially for DIY? I can also buy test circuit pen from you? I already bought a hitch from CT, Reese Towpower 84226 Class III Trailer Hitch, Custom Fit. I am not sure whether it will fit my car, or you have recommended hitch? Thank you!

For your 2011 BMW X3, the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT is a great choice. It does not require you to splice into your vehicle wires. This kit comes with the basic circuit tester you referenced and will need a wire ran to your battery to power the converter.
These give you the basic 4 way trailer connector. If you want to upgrade to the 7-way, then I recommend using the # ETBC7L kit and wireless brake controller # C51180 so no wiring through the firewall is needed.
Your hitch is a confirmed fit and similar to the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 76226 which is a slightly stronger hitch made by the same manufacturer.
