Flat Towing a 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL and the Rear Clearance Lights Work, but Not the Tail Lights
Question:
Got it all done and all turn signal and brake lights work great. The tail lights only light the side marker light and not th he back bulbs. Got any suggestions?

From the information I have, it looks like the rear clearance light and the rear tail light signals run through 2 different wires, so my guess is you have the diode installed on the clearance light wire instead of the running light/park lamp wire. From what I can tell this should be a dark blue wire on the tail light connector, but before cutting I strongly recommend using a circuit tester to test the dark blue wire first.
If you are looking at the tail light connector, it should be the 2nd pin from the right on the top row if you have the clip of the connector facing up. If you have power on the wire attached to that pin when the tail lights are on on the Jeep and you aren't using that wire, I'd try that wire. You could also leave the tail light connected and test that wire while the tail lights are on to confirm that it is the correct wire.
