Is Brite-Lite Converter RM-732 Needed to Flat Tow a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Behind an Itasca RV

Question:

I have a 2006 Itasca Navion and plan to tow 2004 Jeep Wrangler. I ordered the RM-154 Universal Wiring Kit and Rm-98400 Even Brake 2nd Vehicle kit. Do I also need the Rm-732 ? Thanks

It depends. If your 2006 Itasca motor home has a trailer connector in it already, whether it is a 4-Way flat or 7-Way RV style, the circuits for the brake lights and turn signals are already combined. This is what the diode kit # RM-154 requires. So you would not need any sort of converter.

If you can tell me what type of trailer connector is on the RV, if it has one, then I can tell you if you will need any converters.

You would only need to use the Brite-Lite converter if there was no trailer connector currently on the RV and you were basically making a 4-Way connector from scratch. Since there are other, better options that can do this same job better and with less fabrication, the Brite-Lite converter will not factor into the equation. I have included a link to the right that should also be helpful.
