Do Batteries of Bikes Need to Remove When Loading onto Hollywood Racks Sport Rider HLY84FR

The instructions tell you to remove the battery when placing the bike on the rack. Is this necessary?

Removing the battery of the e-bikes will make it easier to lift them onto the Sport Rider part # HLY84FR that you referenced but if you are okay with lifting the weight and the bikes are less than 80 lbs it would not be totally necessary.
