Weight Distribution Shank Recommendation for Reese WD System for Additional Drop

Question:

I have an older reese anti sway weight distribution system with trunion bars and a six hole shank. Changing tow vehicle, 2003 suburban to a 2007 suburban, receiver now sits higher and need to about 2.5-3.5 inches lower, at bottom of shank now. So options I see are an 8 hole shank that states only two lower positions, or using a two or four inch tow bar adapter to use with my current six hole shank. Sixteen foot single axle camper trailer weights in at 4,000 lbs, ~4,500 fully loaded. kindly assist - thanks!

The Equal-I-zer Shank part # EQ90-02-4300 would be a great solution that would give you the additional drop you need. The Equal-i-zer and Reese shanks are made to the same dimensions too which allows them to be interchangeable.
