Does Vacuum Pump of Hopkins Stealth Kit Have to Install Near Brake Booster
Question:
Hello! I am installing the Vacuum Pump into a 2020 Ram 1500 and the vacuum hose coming directly off of the brake booster system is very inconvenient to get to. Can the hose be connected at any point farther down the vacuum line after the currently installed T valve which appears to branch to the engine and solenoid? Or, does it HAVE to be the first line off of the brake booster system? I have drawn a small red line in the attached picture where I would like to install the line line out of brake booster, then T then line goes to a check valve, then to engine. Would like to install it after the T and before the check valve heading to engine. Thank you!

You'll need to install the vacuum pump of the Hopkins Stealth # HM39530 near the main brake booster hose to ensure it can work properly. Vacuum lines can get pretty complicated as at various part of the setup there might be a reducer installed inline that prevents full vacuum from getting somewhere so if you were to install the pump before on of those you'd have diminished braking performance of the Stealth.
