Hitch Extension that Could be Used with EcoHitch for 2016 Subaru Crosstrek
Question:
Hello, is there a hitch tube extension for the Eco Hitch Invis? I had one installed for my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek to pair with a Rigd Supply UltraSwing Multi-Fit Tire Carrier, but the tube doesn’t go in far enough to allow me to enter the first hitch pin hole. The tube to the ultraswing stops/hits my muffler as well as my bumper. Thank you

The best solution we'd have for a hitch extender would be the etrailer part # e88YR which would give you an additional 8 inches of extension past the hitch. Whether or not that would clear the bumper opening for the EcoHitch # 306-X7203 you have is harder to know. These are the dimensions that you will need to check:
Overall length: 12-1/2"
Distance between hitch pin holes (center to center): 8"
Distance from receiver end to center of nearest pin hole: 2"
Distance from accessory end to center of nearest pin hole: 2-1/2"
Distance from center of hitch pin hole to solid receiver end: 3-3/4"
Keep in mind that hitch extenders cut the capacity of the hitch they are installed in by 50 percent.
