How Heavy of a Trailer Can 2011 Lincoln MKT Tow with etrailer Hitch e52AR Installed
Question:
To Michael H. In your reply to an inquiry from someone, you stated the trailer cannot weight more than 950 lbs. If my vehicle is rated at 4000 pounds towing with a class 111 hitch why so low of a trailer weight?

I found the answer page you mentioned and I also at first didn't understand why Mike H. said that the trailer would need to weigh under 950 lbs but the reason he stated that was because the customer mentioned that his vehicle weighed 3,050 lbs which if you add that to 950 puts the overall weight at 4,000 lbs which is the capacity of the hitch that fits the vehicle.
So, with the Class III etrailer hitch part # e52AR installed on your 2011 Lincoln MKT you'd be fine to tow a trailer that weighs up to 4,000 lbs.
