In regards to the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267 which is a fit for a 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited, you only need to splice the brown running light wire from the harness into one of the running light circuits on the vehicle. It does not matter if this is on the passenger side or driver side. There will then need to be a jumper wire run from the diode to the other side but an additional splice into the vehicle's running light circuit is not needed.
