If you are trying to install trailer tail lights on a pickup then you'll need a converter box since the pickup uses separate signals and the trailer lights are combined. I recommend the Hopkins Tail Light Converter part # HM48847. I can't tell you exactly how to wire the lights as I don't know which exact ones you have nor do we have any wiring diagrams for the vehicle so you will simply need to match the wires up by function (not color) which is done by checking with a circuit tester.
