Will 2-1/2 Inch U-Bolts Fit a 6,000-Lb Hammerblow Axle On a Homebuilt Trailer

helo I have a trailer that I built years ago and the axles that I have are hammerblow 6000lbs each I have 1 3/4 wide 7 leaf springs 9/16 u-bolts it has a welded in spindle that is 2 1/4 I believe that I would be able to use the 2 1/2 u-bolts ? I do not see that you have them in the 2 1/4 I also do not see that you have the plates if I were to use the 2 1/2 u-bolts I am sure I am not making much sense here can you steer me in the right direction other wise I do see that you have everything else that i need brakes drums hanger kit etc I am ready to purchase just need to be sure I am getting what I need Thank you

The U-bolts on a trailer suspension are designed to attach the leaf springs to the axle of the trailer. The U-bolts will need to fit the diameter of your axle. I would recommend to measure the diameter of the axle. A 6,000-lb axle should have a diameter of 3 inches. The spindle that is attached to the axle will measure 2-1/4 inches in diameter. There is not a U-bolt available in a width of 2-1/4 inches.
The Redline Replacement U-Bolt, part # 176500, is a U-bolt that is designed for 5,200-lb, 6,000-lb, and 7,200-lb axles. It has a bolt diameter of 9/16 inches, a length of 7-1/4 inches, and a width of 3 inches.
The complete U-bolt kit for one axle would be the Redline U-Bolt Kit, part # APUBR-9. This kit will include 4 U-bolts, 2 U-bolt plates, and (8) 9/16 inch x 18 hex nuts.
If the diameter of your axle is different than 3 inches, let me know the diameter and I can help you get the correct parts.
