How To Run Power Wire for Trailer Wiring Harness On a 2019 Hyundai Sonata

2019 hyundai sonata light wiring installation. Where should the power wire be routed out of trunk to battery.

The trailer wiring harness I recommend for a 2019 Hyundai Sonata is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56390 which is almost entirely plug-n-play. In regard to installation, the two pigtails plug in behind the taillights, the white wire needs to be grounded, then the black power wire gets run to the battery. In regard to the exact path to take, neither we nor the manufacturer provide instructions for this because it varies so much from install to install. That said, I have installed several and almost always follow the brake lines from the rear axle into the engine bay assuming that's where the battery is. The power wire simply gets secured to this brake lines which is both safe and sure. There are usually some panels that protect the brake lines that need removed temporarily but that's about it. Please note, if you have a hybrid model then you'd simply run the wire to wherever the battery is which is usually in the trunk therefore making things much easier.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch picked out, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11402 is what I recommend.
