Wheel Chock Recommendation for Disconnected Trailer on Hill

Question:

Are you smart enough to determine if wheel chocks behind both 14inch wheels can keep an unhitched trailored boat of 2400lbs. moving downhill on a 30 degree incline?

Utilizing wheel chocks like the Anderson Tuff Chock # 3605 wouldn't be ideal for the angle you are stating. Of course the weight of the boat is likely not distributed evenly over the axle, there are some chocks I believe would work for the situation you stated. I recommend using the etrailer Wheel Chocks - Polyurethane - Qty 2 # 288-02011-2 which have a little more grip on the bottom of the chocks and have a little more give to ensure they won't slide down the hill. Another great option is the Buyers Product rubber chocks # 337WC1467A.

I also recommend lowering the trailer jack as low as it can go and putting your safety chain under that wheel as another preventative measure.
