Using a Backing Plate for D-Ring Placement on a Trailer

I puchased d ring from u on line we are installing them ourselfs on a trailer do i need the bottom [lat or can we use washers 2 does it need to go into the fram or next to it

The backing plate BP05 will definitely make for a stronger tie down point, especially if you are not able to bolt the tie down ring to the trailer frame. If you can mount the ring through the frame at all four points, then you would not need a backing plate for installation. If you use washers and do not mount through the frame of the trailer, you must be aware that the installation will not handle as large a load, due to the reduced mounting surface.
