Best Lightweight Replacement for Reese Slider 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
I have a Reese slider on my F250 because I have a 6’2/4” bed. I would like to occasionally use my truck bed, but it’s way too heavy for me. I have been looking at the Anderson hitches. The 3220 requires a ball that I don’t have. Obviously I have rails. I need suggestions. I looked at the Recon but I won’t have any play room.

The Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System part # AM3200 is just what you are looking for as it attaches to the above bed rails you already have and is super lightweight at only 40 lbs so it will be very easy to get in and out of the truck. In order to use the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System part AM3220 you'd need to remove the above bed install kit and install a gooseneck hitch which is much more involved.
