Recommended Front Mount Hitch and Winch Mount Combo for a 2017 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

Hi, Im looking at the Curt C31075 Hitch and the Bulldog # BDW20011 to hold a removable winch for my 2017 Tacoma TRD Offroad truck. I see that the line pull max is 9000 lbs. I was initially looking at the Warn VR EVO 10S which is synthetic line and 9500 lbs line pull. Is this winch not a good match? and if not can you recommend a similar good quality one? Are the above parts the best option for my truck or can you recommend better? I want the removable winch option to keep weight down on front of truck and only install it when necessary, on the trail. What is the weight of the above items? Thanks in advance for your help.

The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C31075 when paired with the Bulldog Winch Hitch Mounted Winch Mounting Plate with Handles # BDW20011 is a great option for a 2017 Toyota Tacoma and will work well with the Warn VR EVO 10S Winch. In regard to the line pull capacity, you will just be limited to 9,000 lbs because of the trailer hitch but that is perfectly fine and will still be plenty for vehicle recovery.

That said, if you are however looking for a winch which more closely matches the line pull rating of the trailer hitch we have the Superwinch Talon Integrated Off-Road Winch part # SW1695211 which is rated at 9,500 lbs and has a synthetic rope as well. It will fit the Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver Winch Mounting Plate no problem.

The front mount trailer hitches all max out at 9,000 lb line pull strength.
