Recommended Trailer Dolly for 3,500 lb Boat Trailer
Question:
I have an 18 ft Lowes bass boat. Want a dolly to help move it in my garage. My trailer says max Tongue weight is 3,500 and is a class 2 trailer. Boat weights 1,600 pounds dry. What dolly would you recommend? Thanks so much

While we definitely have what you need, I am guessing there was maybe a misprint in regards to the tongue weight, which can't be a max of 3,500 lbs (tongue weight is generally 10%-15% of the trailer's maximum loaded weight). So I am guessing that the trailer's overall max loaded weight is 3,500 lbs, which makes a lot of sense because you mentioned your boat was 1,600 lbs.
Your trailer likely accepts a 1-7/8" hitch ball, and the trailer dolly I recommend is the Rack'Em Trailer Dolly # RA20.
This dolly is going to be the one that makes it the easiest to maneuver your boat trailer. The reasons for that are because it has wide wheel spacing at 24" for the best stability and the most leverage when moving your trailer.
