The best way to determine the correct hub and drum assembly for your trailer with a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern is to remove the hub from the trailer to get the measurements of your spindle. Or take a look at the inner and outer bearing numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings in order to determine the correct replacement hub for your trailer. Knowing the bolt pattern is a start, but not enough to determine the best replacement hub and drum assembly.

I have included a photo showing the places to measure. Using a tape measure or ruler will not be accurate enough.

The most popular trailer hub and drum assembly is the etrailer E-Z lube # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K and is for 3,500 pound trailer axles and bolt pattern of 5 on 4-1/2. The inner bearing is L68140 and outer bearing is L44649 which are commonly used. It also uses a # 58846 grease seal with an inner diameter of 1.719 inches. I added a video review for you.

I am including links to a FAQ page and a video that will help you when replacing the bearings, races, and seals on your trailer.

If you wish to provide your existing bearing, race and seal part numbers, I can double-check to ensure you are getting the correct bearing kit.
