Will the Kuat Transfer 3 Bike Rack for Fat Tire Bikes Work With Skinny Tire Road Bikes as Well
Question:
Ive got two wider tire bikes 3 that Im guessing would travel fine on this rack, but the third bike is a road bike w/ 700x23c tires. Would that one ride in this rack OK? Thanks

The Kuat Transfer 3 Bike Platform Rack part # KU24FR is compatible with tires up to 4-1/2" wide with the Phat Bike Adapter # APBK. That said, the way the wheel trays are designed it will still work with road bikes that have skinny tires as well because you will notice there is a small channel in the bottom of the tray for this exact purpose.
Therefore, you will have no issues using the above for both fat tire mountain bikes and skinny tire road bikes. I especially love the Transfer so you are making a great choice, its open design makes it much easier to load your bikes on and it's lightweight so it's easy to get on and off the vehicle.
