3 Bike Rack Recommendation for Front Hitch on Truck
Question:
We are looking for a rack that will hold at least three full suspension mountain bikes. We have a trailer hitch on the front of our truck. We would like it to be stable and strong enough to secure these firmly. The racks that hold a bike upright seem out of the question as we do not want our view to be obstructed. The 3 bike aluminum rack sounds nice but seems too light. Would a platform style be best? Any suggestions?

For the front of a vehicle I'd think a platform bike rack would be the best option. You'll get a very secure rack for the bike to attach to. And in the unlikely event of a clearance issue the bike rack would drag before the bikes would. Also a platform rack might be easier to see through over a hanging rack which will have an upright mast. Platform bike also holds all the bikes at the same height.
