Can Furrion Vision S Camera be Powered without Trailer Connected
Question:
We purchased the Vision S system for our 2019 Jayco Pinnacle and it works well with the tow vehicle lights on. However, cannot figure out how it works in the trailer as an observation camera. It has the motion detector and infrared light but has no power except when connected to the tow vehicle and lights on. Is there something I should be looking for that I’m missing?

If you wanted the Vision S system to have power so that you could use it not connected to your tow vehicle you'd need to run a power through a switch to the battery on the trailer so that you could have power to it whenever you needed. We have 12 gauge wire by the foot with # 12-1-1 that you could use for this with a switch like # D16740.
With the switch off the lights of your trailer light will still activate the system as well.
