How Far Past the Bumper Does the Draw-Tite 75950 Stick Out on the 2007 Audi Q7
Question:
I have a 2007 Audi Q7, I would like to know if this particular hitch will project past the bumper? I am worried about banging my knee into the hitch with no ball installed.

When you install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 75950 on your 2007 Audi Q7 the edge of the receiver will line up pretty much right in line with the part of the bumper that sticks out the furthest. I've added a photo of what the hitch will look like when installed so you can see this, but it definitely won't be a hitch that you'll be banging your shins on.
If you're going to be towing a trailer with this hitch, you'll also need a wiring harness, ball mount and hitch ball. For wiring I recommend using the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected # 119250KIT because we've found that the Tekonsha converter boxes are a bit more reliable over time than some of the others. This harness will need to be hard wired on to the vehicle and will provide you with a 4-way trailer connector for your 2007 Audi Q7, however it does so in a unigue way. Instead of splicing into your wires, it simply clips on for connection. Check out the video that is attached for you.
To complete your towing setup, I recommend using the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 because it comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 hitch balls (1-7/8" and 2"), hitch pins, clips and a carrying bag that will allow you to tow with a variety of different trailers with the different rise/drops you can cover with this kit.
I've also linked our installation video of both the wiring and the hitch, so you can see more accurately how far the hitch will stick out, in addition to the installation processes of the wiring harness and hitch.
