Troubleshooting Kickstand Operation Issues with 2016 Harley Davidson Road King and B&W Bike Bar
Question:
The kick stand on my 2016 Harley Road King will not retract with the bar installed and gets in the way of docking on the left side. How do I deal with this ?

This is a fairly uncommon issue on some motorcycles when using the B&W Biker Bar # BWMC2301, but it is noted in the instructions that some motorcycles the clamping bar may prevent the kickstand from swinging freely to its riding position. The kickstands of some bikes will need to be lifted over the bar by hand due to
where the bar must clamp. This of course assumes that you can lift the kickstand over the bar and put it up for transit.
It also mentions that in rare cases some bikes may require that the kickstand stays down while the
bike is hauled. It seems to me that you may need to adjust the positioning of the bar slightly so that you can dock your 2016 Harley Davidson Road King, and leave the kick stand down and have it out of the way. If you can't adjust the bar back far enough to get your kickstand up or out of the way and still have the bike stable, please let me know and I can work to find you an alternate solution for this.
I've linked a copy of the installation instructions and our installation video in case you haven't taken a look at it yet.
