Troubleshooting Curt Brake Controller Triflex that Shows Flashing 0.0 on Display without Trailer
Question:
When I hit my brakes without a trailer hooked up on it it shows 0.0 and they are like they are jerking or the 0.0s like shakey and before it only displayed a single . Dot on it when I hit the brake pedal

The Curt brake controllers are notorious for needing to be reset frequently to get rid of bugs like you described. Try unplugging the harness from the back of the controller and then plugging it back in to see if that takes care of the issue.
I'd recommend going to a more reliable controller though like the Brake EVN # TK63VR as this is a very solid option.
