Troubleshooting B and W Companion Hitch Slider that Developed Movement After 3000 Miles

Question:

I bought this BandW hitch in January and installed it in my new 350 in February before leaving from NY on our way to Fla for 6 weeks. I love this hitch. My question is when we started out there was no chucking and very little noise. We’ve been about 3000 miles so far and it seemed as if were getting a little when stopping and starting. I had a friend start and stop a few times as I walked beside it. Looks to me like the chucking is coming from the head tilting forward and then back when starting and stopping. Is this normal or is it something I should be concerned about. We’re in NC now so have several hundred miles to go on this trip. I am send a pic but it looks great!

I sent this to B and W to see what they would suggest to minimize movement and they sent me the following:

Uncouple the trailer, open the handles on the # BWRVK3370, recouple the trailer with the handles open put all the weight on the hitch, then close the handles.

Since this a slider, they are not a quiet hitch due to all of the moving components in it.

Are they properly lubricating the polyurethane bushings under the coupler head?
