Best Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2019 Ford F-350 Long Bed with OEM Rail Kit and Tonneau Cover
Question:
I have a 2019 F-350 long bed with a Retrax tonneau cover. Will the Curt Q25 work fine for me? I dont believe me tonneau will get in the way, can someone confirm? In addition, I have never had a 5th wheel camper before, looking to purchase one. Since I have a long bed, there is no need for a hitch with a rotating pin box, or a sliding hitch, or anything of that nature, correct? In addition, how do you determine the height needed for the hitch, I see it has three possible adjustments for the height.

Since you have a long bed truck you do not need a slider hitch to give you additional clearance between the nose of the trailer and the cab of the truck. For a hitch that would fit best under a tonneau cover I would recommend something with a handle that is lower than the head of the hitch like the B and W Companion part # BWRVK3300 which is a confirmed fit for the OEM rail kit of your 2019 Ford F-350 and is also the all-around best option in other areas as well like ride quality, build quality, and being made in the USA. The Curt hitches aren't my favorite and since the handle sticks up a little bit past hitch head height it's not the best in that regard either.
The hitch height you need is the difference between the truck bed height from the ground and the pin box plate down to the ground on the trailer when sitting level.
