Comparing the CURT Q20 and Reese M5 Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches
Question:
I want a Reese but no one sells and install them where I live. Is the Curt 20K just as good as the Reese 18K? My RV is 12K loaded

The CURT 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # C16130, is a good trailer hitch. It features a 2-jaw system that is very secure and it has a unique pivoting head which allows for a more comfortable ride. It is on par with the rest of the pack in terms of performance and quality. It will fit in CURT, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Pro Series, Reese and Valley above the bed 5th wheel rails.
However, the Reese M5 Series, like # RP30921, is in league of its own. The main benefits of this hitch are the forged, single-piece, self-latching jaw (considered the most secure connection) and the mounting system. It installs in the under bed pucks which leaves the entirety of the bed open when the hitch is removed.
The CURT hitch is more cost effective than the Reese M5. If you can tell me the year, make, model and cab and bed length of the truck you have, I would be happy to recommend some installation kits.
