Is There Tow Bar Option for 2019 Ford Ranger That Connects Directly to Tow Hooks

Question:

I have a roadmaster tow bar and currently tow a wrangler. I am thinking about getting a 2019 ford ranger 4x4 as a toad. Is there an adapter that I can attach to the Ranger’s front tow hooks that will accept the tow bar? Thanks.

The only connection points we offer for flat towing a 2019 Ranger would involve installing base plate assemblies that install where the tow/tie down hooks currently sit. Some Jeep Wrangler models will have a D-ring type setup on the front bumper that a tow bar can connect to, but I'm not aware of any such option for a Ranger. To be honest, such a setup would probably have some play in the connection, which would lead to an unpleasant towing experience with lots of banging and rattling.

The Roadmaster # RM-524459-5 base plate kit you'd looked at would be the proper way to attach your tow bar. If you currently have a Roadmaster tow bar and safety cables, you could reuse those as long as they're still in good condition. To wire up the taillights, I'd recommend the Roadmaster Diode Kit, part # RM-15267. For a braking system unless you have a portable system you can reuse, we really like the Roadmaster Invisibrake, part # RM-8700.
