Hitch Comparison for a 2012 Toyota Prius V Trailer Hitch
Question:
Between the Curt hitch and the draw tight which one fits tighter to the bumper under the car. I want the one that is the tightest to the bumper so it cant be seen.

Expert Reply:
If you check out the picture I attached you can see what your 2012 Toyota Prius V would look like with either the Draw-Tite Hitch # 24847 or the Curt Hitch # C11276 would look like once installed. As you can see both of them hang about the same distance from the bottom of the vehicle and will be the same in terms of visibility.
Both of these hitches will be largely out of plain sight, but will be somewhat visible. Either hitch would work well for you, but Curt recommends that you use a stabilizing strap like the part # 18050 when you carry a non-supported load such as a bike rack or a cargo carrier with their hitch. The Draw-Tite does not require the strap be used but it would not be a bad idea to use one.
