Recommended Hitch for 2012 Toyota Prius V
Question:
I have a 2012 Prius V wagon and there are three available hitches in your website. DrawTite and Curt. Do you have a recommendation based on best fit and ease of installation? Thanks

The best hitch for you will depend on what you were wanting to use it for.
If you were planning on simply using the hitch as a mount for a bike rack (due to the capabilities of the Class I hitch, you will need a Class I rated bike rack and will be limited to carrying two bikes), the Draw-Tite Class I receiver, part # 24847 would be your best choice.
The Curt hitch, # C11276 would also be a fine choice, albeit a bit more expensive. The hitch warranty stipulates that a stabilizing strap like # 18050 must be used for all non-trailer loads like bike racks or cargo carriers. The Draw-Tite model has no such requirement, which is why I recommend it over the Curt.
For install details as well as an install video, click on the provided link. I have also linked you to our selection of Class I rated bike racks.
