my new Frontier did not come with a trailer hitch. wanted to know what you recommend for towing a light trailer with an atv. will one hitch tow/fit better than the others available?

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98869 that you were looking at is definitely a great option for your towing needs. The differences between it and the other hitches available like the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75282 and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13241 is like splitting hairs. They are very similar in both how they fit and install. The reasons I recommend the etrailer hitch are because I like the finish on the hitch a little more than the other two and I also prefer the safety chain loop style more than the Draw-Tite.
Since you plan on towing, if you do not already have one I recommend picking up a wiring harness with part # 118266 if you do not have a factory trailer connector and part # HM43575 if you already have the factory 4-flat.
You also want a ball mount if you do not already have one and I recommend part # 989900 because it gives you two different size balls as well as 2 different mounts to cover a variety of different trailers you might tow.
I attached install videos of the etrailer hitch and both sets of wiring for you.
