Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2006 Mercedes-Benz E350 Wagon
Question:
I've got a 2006 E350 wagon. Which options are there for a trailer hitch 2? And a two bike carrier that fits in the hitch?

I would recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch, # C11701, because it has the highest towing and tongue weight capacity for your 2006 Mercedes-Benz E350 Wagon.
I have attached product links and installation instructions to this hitch for you to check out. Please note that Curt requires the use of a support strap, # 18050, with all hitch mounted accessories.
We have a wide variety of bike racks for you to choose from. I have also attached a link to all of the bike racks that will work with the Curt trailer hitch and your vehicle.
Two bike racks that I would recommend are the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT Bike Rack, # TH92BJ, or the Thule Helium Aero 2 Bike Rack, # TH9042PRO. These are two different styles of hitch mounted bike racks for you to check out.
The Doubletrack is a platform-style bike rack and is one of our most popular hitch mounted bike racks. This rack allows for easy loading and unloading and uses hooks to secure the bike on the rack. The Helium is a hanging-style bike rack that offers a smaller, lightweight design. This bike rack holds the bikes by the top crossbar of the bike and uses anti-sway cradles to reduce bike movement on the rack.
I have attached installation instructions and demonstration videos of both bike racks for you to check out as well.
If you plan on carrying any women's or children's bikes, then I would recommend picking up the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, # TH982XT. Some small and angled bike frames can be difficult to mount or secure on a bike rack and this tube will provide a level crossbar to easily and safely mount bikes on a bike rack.
