All you need to install the Prodigy P2 brake controller part # 90885 is the controller itself for your 2012 Chevy Colorado since your truck has the factory 7-way. There's a bundle of wires under the dash of the truck that this controller wires to. If you check out the install video I attached you can see exactly how this controller installs on a Colorado similar to yours.

Hello. I checked out the video you sent in the link. I noticed the truck in the video is a second generation colorado well my colorado is a 2012 first generation colorado. wondering i if this is why i cant bundle of wires. finally got time to check and see if the bundle of wires were located under the dash. I pulled off the plastic sil trim and kick plate as well as got on my back and looked under the dash with a flash light and moved wires around. I could not find them. I diffidently have the 7 way connector. My only other thought would be the wires are wrapped up in the harness running along the sil? Any idea why i cant find them.
