Correct Rocker Switch for Lippert Coach Step Control Module Bypass
Question:
I have a Lippert Coach double Step part #725-0001 on my 2001 FR Georgetown that I want to bypass the control module on since it is bad brand new motor, steps extend and retract fine with 12 volts applied directly to motor connector and can also hear module clicking, gets hot, and sometimes works. Which rocker switch would work for this prefer illuminated but not required? I understand that I will lose the automatic functions the control module provides, but paying $176 for a part on a 20 year old set of steps is out of the question and makes it worth having to press and hold a button for 2 seconds.

We have what you need! For your switch use the Replacement Toggle ON/OFF Motor Switch for Ultra Fab Powered Jacks part # UF38-75-1037 this is a momentary switch meaning it always returns to center which doesn't send any power. Then push it one way it will extend the steps push it the other it will retract them.
To connect to the switch use Replacement Female Spade Terminal for Roadmaster Hy-Power Diodes - 12-10 Gauge - 1/4" - Yellow part # RM-300115-00 then you will simply run it down to your motor using 12 Gauge Black Primary Wire - per foot part # 12-1-1 and a couple of Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connector - 12-10 Gauge - Nylon Insulation - Yellow - Qty 5 part # DW05745-5 to connect it to the wires coming directly out of your motor. This will have you set and ready to start enjoying your camper again! I've included the video I did on the switch for reference and links to the other products pages.
