We have a solution for you. I recommend the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle part # SSR-212-40. These will give you 1,000 lbs of load support at 50% compression which will fall right inside the sweet spot on your Colorado. Depending on the model your Colorado can haul up to 7,000 lbs. So at most you should be putting 700-1050 lbs of tongue weight on it. Your total in bed payload is again depending on the model 1,523 at most. Please keep in mind that these will not increase you towing capacity. They simply help to take the wear and tear off of the rear suspension. Happy Hauling!
