Will Installing a Hitch on a 2019 Ford Edge Titanium Affect The LiftGate Sensors
Question:
I know that this question has been asked before but Id like to ask for updated information. I have a 2019 Ford Edge Titanium, and am looking for a hitch for bike rack purposes only which will still allow me to use the Hands Free Tailgate feature on my SUV. I do not and will not tow anything. Is there a hitch that you would recommend for my vehicle which would continue to allow me access to a Hands Free Tailgate? Thanks in advance!

Great news, your lift gate sensor will still work but only partially. All of the hitches available for the 2019 Ford Edge Titanium will limit the hands-free liftgate sensor to either side of the hitch. The liftgate sensors will still operate but the center one on the bumper will not. You will still be able to use the side sensors.
I recommend to use the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit part # 75214 because it will provide you with more ground clearance compared to the other hitch options when carrying the bike rack it will be less likely to ever scrape the ground. This is a Class III 2" hitch, I know that you will never be towing a trailer but the 2" receiver openings have a better variety of compatible bike racks available. I have attached an installation video for your reference.
If you do not have a bike rack yet, please give me a little more information about what kind of bikes, how many bikes and the weight of the bikes. I am happy to recommend a bike rack for you.
