Installing EcoHitch Stealth Receiver on 2020 Tesla Model 3
Question:
Can you speak to the fascia cutting that's needed when installing the EcoHitch trailer hitch on my 2020 Tesla Model 3. I'm reading some conflicting stories. Thank you!

On your 2020 Tesla Model 3 you actually won't have to cut any fascia when installing the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH84GR. Up through the 2018 model year, a square opening did need to be cut on the Tesla Model 3 to allow clearance for the drop-down receiver on the EcoHitch, however starting with the 2019 model Tesla added an integrated panel that can be easily taken off (and snapped back on) that provides the needed opening for the receiver.
This allows for an easier install process and also eliminates the need for a separate component to cover up the exposed area that needed to be cut on previous models. I have attached a full installation video below on the 2019 Tesla Model 3 that you can reference. The process should be just about identical on your 2020 Tesla.
