Hitch Alignment and Truck Bed Camera System for 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup
Question:
I have a 2001 Dodge 2500 Quad Cab 4x4. Will this replace the existing 3rd brake light. I need one with a camera to help hook up a gooseneck trailer. If not is there a different one that will work. Thanks

I have a solution for you, but the Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-917619P is a universal fit item is not designed to be a replacement for your existing 3rd brake light, so it may not be the best solution.
Although it won't replace your 3rd brake light, the Rear View Safety Wireless Hitch camera # RVS-83112 is going to be the best solution for your 2001 Dodge Ram pickup. This camera can be mounted in a variety of places on your truck bed rails/cab and send a wireless signal to the included monitor that will allow you to view your trailer connection in the truck bed. In my opinion, this is likely going to be the best solution for you in terms of ease of installation and ease of use. It won't replace your existing 3rd brake light, but it will provide you with a better solution because of the lack of custom fit options available for your 2001 Ram.
