We have just what you need to get this job taken care of. There are two wiring kits you will need, the Curt T-Connector # C56327 and the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. These two kits combined will include everything you need to install a 7-way on your 2020 Ford Transit T-250, including all of the necessary wires for a brake controller. The Tekonsha P3 # 90195 is what we recommend, as it will be an easy 4-wire install.

When I connect the tekonsha p3 brake controller to the cold red stop light wire and use the manual brake the 30a fuse to the positive barely cable burns out. I am trying to connect to a 2020 Ford Transit f150. Is there an alternate wiring diagram. The directions say to wire 1998 -2005 models to the light green wire from thr stoplight switch. Will this work on a 2020?

If you haven't finished installing the harness completely then using the manual override on the brake controller could definitely cause the fuse the blow. Wire colors can change over the course of time so it's always a good idea to check to make sure you are connecting to the proper source. In the attached video where we installed the harness on a 2020 Transit T250 we found the function to be on a purple wire (jump to mark 19:30) instead of green. Again, you'll want to confirm this on your end.

@JonG i have A 2021 Ford Transit 250 with the factory HD trailer tow package. It did not come with a TBC. Do you sell a controller that will install to my factory wiring? My van already has the 4/7 trailer connector at the receiver hitch.

@HowardL I recommend the Curt Echo, part # C51180. It will plug into your 7-way and then connect to your phone via bluetooth. It is the simplest installation available and it works very well.
