Best Anti-Rattle For Towing A Trailer With A Weight Distribution System
Question:
I tow a 17’ Jayco X17C travel trailer using my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory tow package and an E2 dual stabilization kit that I also purchased from Etrailer, great product!. I’m wondering if this draw tight mechanism is going to be of any use apart from keeping dirt out of the draw bar when not in use or do I even need something like this being that I’m already hooked up to a great E2 weight distribution unit from you guys!. I haven’t done enough miles yet to know if I’m going to experience any rattle etc at all but will be in the very near future, any advice greatly appreciated......

Thank you Matthew! The Draw-Tite QSP Trailer Hitch Silencer and Cover for 2" Hitch Receivers part # 63080 can be used while towing with the weight distribution system as long as you have a 2" Draw-Tite hitch. However, this is not my recommendation to prevent rattle while towing. I recommend Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches part # RM-061 which does a better job at tightening up the connection point between the weight distribution shank and the hitch receiver.
When you are not towing I recommend to throw one of the etrailer.com Rubber Hitch Cover for 2" Trailer Hitches part # 22282 in the hitch to protect it from dirt and road debris.
