Brake Controller Installation on 1998 Chevy K1500 Pickup
Question:
Will the Tekonsha Primus brake controller work on a 1998 Chevy k1500?

Expert Reply:
Since a brake controller isn't a vehicle specific product, the Tekonsha Primus # TK90160 brake controller you mentioned would work great on your 1998 Chevy K1500.
Back in those days, GM didn't offer the plug and play connector under the dash to install a brake controller, but we have all the parts you'll need and can walk you through the installation process.
In addition to the brake controller, you'll need our # ETBC7 Brake Controller Install kit and a functional 4-pole trailer connector installed on the truck. If you don't have the 4-pole connector, you can easily install one using # 118315.
I've linked you to some help articles and videos that will help you successfully complete the installation.
