Where Is the Brake Output Wire On the Rear Of a 2019 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I have a 2019 Tacoma that has the trailer brake controller wiring harness installed under dash/kick panel area from factory. I need to know where the trailer brake wire is at rear of the vehicle. Have not been able to find it. You Tube only references where to find the harness in the kick panel.

The 2019 Toyota Tacoma could have come optioned with the factory tow package which includes both an under dash brake controller plug and a trailer connector. The 2019 Toyota Tacoma could have also come without the factory tow package which does not include an under dash brake controller plug or a trailer connected. I am not aware of any models with the under dash brake controller plug and no trailer connector or vice versa. That said, there are other models with this configuration and the brake output and battery charge line wires are usually blunt cut and tied off near the spare tire inside the main wiring harnesses.
If you don't have the factory tow package then you can use the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 22117 to add one along with the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160 to activate the trailer brakes if needed. If you do end up having the under dash brake controller plug and no trailer connector then you can use the 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets part # HM40975-11998 once you find the wires but I don't have any exact information on the whereabouts of these wires.
