Class III Trailer Hitch vs. Class II Trailer Hitch for 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid
Question:
I am going to put a hitch on my 2020 toyota rav4 hybrid, but not sure if I should go with the class 2 hitch or the class 3 hitch? I know one has a bigger opening but anything else I need to know?

You did a great job with your first choice for a trailer hitch on your 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, because etrailer makes the highest-quality trailer hitches so it is the brand I would go with as well over any other. In regards to the Class II Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch -1-1/4" Receiver # 36675 vs. the Class III etrailer Hitch Receiver - 2" # e23ZR, you definitely want to go with the hitch that has a 2" receiver.
The reason is that no matter if you are using the hitch for accessories or towing, the Class III 2" receiver provides a benefit the Class II can't match. If you are going to be towing with your 2020 RAV4 Hybrid, the Class III hitch is rated for use with weight distribution so you have that option if you'd like. For accessories, you simply have more options - and superior ones - with a hitch that has a 2" receiver.
For example, as of this writing there are currently five times as many cargo carriers that fit a 2" hitch than a 1-1/4" hitch and three times as many bike racks for a 2" hitch compared to a 1-1/4" hitch. I have added links to our selection of bike racks and cargo carriers for you as well.
I have also added links to video installs of both hitches, including the etrailer # e23ZR I recommend.
